Muhammad Ali, whose real name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr., was a world-famous boxer known for his speed, agility, and footwork in the ring. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1942 and began boxing at the age of 12. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the world heavyweight champion in 1964 at the age of 22. Throughout his career, he was known for his larger-than-life personality, his brash and confident demeanor, and his strong beliefs in social justice. He was also known for his philanthropic work, including his efforts to raise funds for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. Ali retired from boxing in 1981, but his legacy as "The Greatest" and "The People's Champion" lives on to this day.
