After high school, Hanks studied theater at Chabot College, then at California State University, Sacramento after two years. While there, he decided to quit college and intern at the Great Lakes Theater Festival in Cleveland, OH.

Hanks and his wife bought a mansion in Pacific Palisades in 2010 for an impressive $26 million. This is not the only home they have bought in the beautiful southern California neighborhood on the Pacific. But it is the one they have chosen to call their home.
This luxurious mansion measures around 14,500 square feet and has five bathrooms and four bedrooms. It occupies an acre and a half and was built in 1996. Hanks isn't the first famous Hollywood figure to live there, either. It belonged to both Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, Hollywood producers.
