Barbara Corcoran was born March 10, 1949 in Edgewater, New Jersey. She is the second of 10 children in a large Irish-Catholic family, which led to her attending a small Catholic elementary school. After high school, Barbara attended St. Thomas Aquinas College where she received a Bachelor's degree in education in 1971.
