Ryan Upchurch Net Worth | Nashville Redneck Millionaire
How Ryan Upchurch Built His Net Worth
Country rapper is not a term that is used too often, but it does describe YouTube sensation, Ryan Upchurch. The country star is known for his YouTube channel and personality as a comic, country singer, influencer, and occasionally a rapper. Born in 1991, the Nashville, TN star is estimated to be worth about $3.6 million as of May of 2020, and with over 1.5 million subscribers, that number will likely continue to grow.
Ryan's YouTube channel is called Upchurch the Redneck which aptly describes his sense of humor and the material that he uses to create music and commentary. Born in Nashville, Ryan has one brother but keeps most of his early life private which is of note since he is pretty public about everything else on his YouTube channel. He also doesn't talk about his education, and it is unknown where he went to high school and/or if he went to college.
Ryan has a love of cars that he sometimes displays on his social media platform, but he soon found that music and comedy were a lot more profit-driven then vehicles. Along with his friend Shade Glover, Ryan started his own YouTube channel and focused on uploading comedy gigs. However, while the comedy gigs were getting them a bit of attention, the channel still hadn't taken off the way Ryan hoped.
This spurred Ryan to try his hand at music, and he released an EP titled Cheatham County in 2015 followed by an album titled Heart of America in 2016. This is where his career took off because people soon noticed the country singer and they secured a seat on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. At the same time that his country career was blowing up, Ryan kept posting comedy and hick-hop videos (his term for redneck rap) which helped continue to build an even stronger fan base.
Taking advantage of his new fame, Ryan released an actual song where he sang instead of rhymes, and fans loved it. In fact, at one point he even got Luke Combs to appear in a music video which helped him raise his profile even more.
Today Ryan is still an active YouTube influencer, and on the side, he works on his own fashion line titled RHEC after his very first single "Raise Hell and Eat Cornbread). While he started on YouTube, he keeps active social media profiles on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook which has no doubt helped him reach an even wider audience. Despite his clothing line, YouTube is still his main source of income and it is estimated that he earns a nice sum on an annual basis. He is currently single after a relationship with a long-term girlfriend that was heavily publicized on social media and claims to be focusing on his music.
