The diminutive chef isn't the first celebrity in the family. Her maternal grandfather was director Dino De Laurentiis, a legend in the filmmaking industry. He was also a legendary food lover. She was married to Todd Thompson, fashion designer, in 2003. Five years later, in March 2008, they welcomed their daughter, Jade Marie, into the world.

However, as with many marriages today, the marriage between De Laurentiis and Thompson was not meant to last forever. She was divorced from Thompson in September 2015, after separating the previous year. One huge difference in this divorce is that it lacked the bitter press of many celebrity divorces. De Laurentiis turned over their $3 million mansion in Los Angeles to Thompson, along with around $300,000 in furniture and art. Thompsons also earns a portion of book and television royalties from De Laurentiis' work during the marriage. She is now in a relationship with boyfriend, Shane Farley, he writer and producer for various shows, including Steve Harvey's talk show.
