International Women's Day 2024

International Women's Day, which we celebrate every year on March 8th, is a big deal for showing respect to women and fighting for them to be treated fairly. It's not just about saying "well done" to women; it's a day to really think about the tough stuff they still have to deal with. Women often don't get paid as much as men for doing the same job, and sometimes they have to put up with bad treatment or even violence. This day helps us all focus on what needs to be better so that women everywhere can have the same chances and be treated just as fairly as men.

The Women's Suffrage Movement

The Woman's Suffrage Movement was all about getting women the right to vote. This huge change took place from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. Before this movement, women were mostly expected to stay at home and didn't have much say in things like politics or big decisions. But during this time, women stood up and said, "We want to vote and have a say in how things are run!" This movement really shook things up, changing how people saw women and what they could do.
