She Went Viral Online, but Not in a Good Way

The then-17-year-old high school athlete was out setting records when a bystander took a photo of her during a competition. That bystander sold the picture to a pretty dodgy website who catered to male clientele.

That photo soon became viral internationally and although she didn't want to be, Allison became an sex symbol. This situation sparked a much-needed debate regarding the sexualization of women in sport.

Allison Attended UCS Berkley

Allison competed for the California Golden Bears collegiate track team while completing her degree. In her first year of competition, she broke the school record for a freshman with a pole vault of a whopping 13 feet 5 inches.

Allison is a Sportswear Model

In 2015, Allison appeared in campaigns for Nike and Athleta, and Uniqlo in 2016. She's also worked with GoPro, appearing in a series of videos of her pole vaulting. The GoPro video has over 9 million views on YouTube.
