Is The UFC Going To Host Fights On Private Island?

The UFC is ready to get back to business, and it's not planning to wait for the global coronavirus pandemic to end. UFC president, Dana White, has found a private island where they can host their events.

Ready to Get Back to Work

On Monday, White informed ESPN that the UFC has secured an American location where the UFC 249 can be held on April 18. The headline is an interim title bout featuring Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson.

Hosting Regular Fights

The UFC 249 will consist of a total of twelve fights. According to White, the same location will be host to weekly fights over the next two months, at least.

Secret Island

In addition, the UFC president said that he has begun work on a private island. This would potentially be for fights featuring international athletes that cannot enter the United States.

Forced Postponement

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the UFC had to postpone three of their events in March and April. Though the other leagues have obeyed the shutdown order, White has stubbornly declared that the UFC will be up and running for UFC 249.

Safety Measures

White wants to get the UFC going again, but he is not taking any chances with public health. One of the reasons he has not disclosed the U.S. location is that he will be holding the fights without a live audience. That way, everyone can have some great sporting entertainment without risking their safety.
