Though Pat McAfee was a big part of the NFL for 8 years, his career didn’t stop when kicking the ball did. He was known as a renowned bachelor for most of his life in the spotlight, but when he met his now-wife, Samantha, that all changed completely.

Samantha and Pat didn’t get married until August of 2020, but it was the opposite of a whirlwind romance. Keeping things on a slow and steady timeline that Samantha wanted, the 2 dated for over a decade before Pat proposed in 2019. The 2 went on to have a lavish—and very “Pat-centric” wedding the following August.

Samantha is Notoriously Private

Pat may be all about the love of attention and his face, well, just about everywhere, but Samantha is a 180 of this lifestyle. Not much is known about her, other than what Pat has posted or mentioned about the love of his life, as Samantha is all about keeping herself as private as possible. The one thing Samantha does love to share, though, is all about her passion for animals, and the 5 rescue cats and dogs that she and Pat have together.

Samantha has her own work that keeps her busy, with the foundation she founded called Fur the Brand. Her foundation is unlike any other, as it offers support for pets that are in dire need of serious medical attention, like surgeries or rehabilitation. This type of medical care can add up for owners, and Fur the Brand works tirelessly to financially aid those owners so they never have to make the decision between necessary pet medical expenses and having to euthanize their pets because they can’t afford care. Samantha is also involved in other pet organizations, and loves to joke that she is even certified in cat CPR.
