Howie Mandel has been entertaining us through talk shows, animated features, movies, and game shows for decades. But surpassing even a career this long, is his marriage to his wife, Terry.

Childhood Sweethearts, Eh!

Though they didn’t officially start dating until high school, these two Canadians met when they were just 12 years old at the local YMCA. When they finally did have their first date, Howie nearly wrecked his dad’s car on the way to the movies, and Terry — who was used to Howie’s joking personality — thought he was pranking around with the car.

A Forever-Growing Brood

Terry and Howie are parents to 3 now-grown children, and they are also grandparents! Howie has stated that he wishes for a smaller home now that everyone is out of the nest, but Terry wants to always hold onto her kids’ childhood home.

Deal Or No Deal Almost Was Naught

If it weren’t for Terry, Howie’s arguably biggest and highest paying gig of his career may not have panned out. When Howie was initially offered to host the game show, he didn’t want to. But Terry talked him into it, and we have one of the most-watched nightly game shows in history.

A Couple That Works Well Together

While most couples wouldn’t touch the idea of working together for risk of it not going well, for Terry and Howie, it’s a working relationship made in heaven. In fact, early in his career when Howie was budding in the comedy scene, Terry was the head producer of his live comedy shows.

Terry Is An Avid Animal Lover

According to Howie and the kids, Terry has never come across a stray animal that she didn’t bring home to rescue. She was even bitten by a feral cat one time that required several rabies shots. That cat still resides with Terry and Howie.
