Born on January 30, 1998, Jordana Beatty is an Australian actress with a strong background in acting at an early age. Her greatest role to date is that of the infamous Judy Moody in Not Bummer Summer in 2011, which was based on the children's book series by Megan McDonald. In the film, Beatty plays someone who goes to plan a great summer only to find herself abandoned by her two best friends, one of whom flies to Borneo with her mother in an attempt to rescue a lost tribe while the other discovers his passion for lion taming. She is then left with her parents and her brother Stink, the latter of whom she doesn't get along with.

Adding insult to injury is when Judy's parents decide to take off for California only to leave her in the care of a mysterious aunt whom she's never even met. The film and book series allow the name of Judy Moody to be applied very well to a lonely little girl whose heart is broken at the idea that she's been left behind for no apparent reason.

That said, this is only one of many roles played by the aspiring young actress, who would go on to play many other roles in the years to come. And her experience didn't exactly begin with her infamous Judy Moody role either.

As a child, Jordana made her earliest break on TV when she was asked to star on the series Legend of the Seeker, where her recurring role as Rachel. Her further experience included other appearances such as a role in Home and Away, an Australian TV series that depicts the lives of people in a small beach town near New South Wales and speaks of their ordinary days.
She soon began the big screen when she started her supporting role in Eloise in Paris with costar Uma Thurman.

Jordana knew at an early age that she wanted to act, and this seed was planted when she first saw the Disney classic Mary Poppins. When she first saw the musical, she had been impressed by the numbers played by Julie Andrews and the cast. Seeing the impressive array of the scenes and hearing the soundtrack must have been what inspired her interest, because it was soon afterwards that she began to play minor roles in various TV commercials in her native Australia.
